Any syntax problem with these?

For that I'm counting the total records on the sub-report, is it true that I need to have a formula having these, on both the main report and the sub-report?

WhileReadingRecords

Shared numbervar x

Last time I was wrongly added to the email group. Please delete me from that.

Inside the sub-section, there's a another sub-report. I've ticked the option to suppress it when it's blank. But the blank section (it occupies an area) is still there for nothing.

It's clear that we can refer to the same shared variable, which is declared within the formula, in both the main report and the subreport.
