Any other way to say it

I have this habbit of using "would have been" and I find it quite a long phrase to use it while speaking. I want to find out alternatives of using it .
Examples .
It would have been better if I would have travelled by train not by bus.
It would have been better if this film would not have been B & W

Not really, if your intent was to express regret or counter-factual but you must use it in the correct 3rd conditional construction.
