Any other followed by plural

Hi, I have this question.

If I say 'This lake is larger than any other lakes in Japan.'

Does that sentence mean that 'this lake is larger than all the lakes put together in Japan' ? If so, I guess it could be used that way though the grammar book by Korean authors only mentions the usage of 'any other + singular' in comparative construction. Please help!
