Any mistakes, please?

Thanks for helping me! Please, why in:"I bought some furniture fifteen days ago, but I haven't received it yet." we have to use the pronoun it instead of them, once I'm not referring to "a piece of furniture", but "a set of furniture"? Also I'm using some, because of this, it doesn't indicate tha

He may have bought several pieces, but furniture is indeed uncountable, Benson: I bought some furniture/sugar/beer, but I haven't received it yet.

It would be natural to say something like this:

"Thanks for clarifying that for me."

If you say "clear my mind", that suggests removing or eliminating everything from your mind -- i.e. removing more than just the question.
