Any mistakes?

Peter had intended to take a job in business, but abandoned that plan after the unpleasant experience in Canada in 2010.

I don't think the above is good English. Need I add a subject he before abandoned?

The English is good enough. You don't need 'he', but it would be quite natural to add it if you want.
