Any ideas about my research?

Hey guys,

I am doing a little research. Honestly, I absolutely have no interest into this. Well, it is my assignment. I bought a book which has 300 research project ideas. I found one I am pretting interested with. Here what it is:

Project: (Grammatical structure within texts)

There are many simplified versions of classic texts for learners of English as a Foreign Language. How has the original text been modified in terms of structure? Ask some native and non-native speakers of English to compare the two and say which they prefer and why.

I have already thought about which classic novel I am going to use. The problem is I don't know how to start. I could compare the origianl version and the somplified version in my way. but the thing is we are required to do either a quanlitative research or a quatitative research. I think my undone research should be qualitative one? right?

Ok, if you guy have ever done the simailar thing, please inspire me. detailed steps are appreciated!
