Can a grammar expert help with grammar in sentences?

I know it's my turn to get off the elevator when there are no people left. I live on the last floor.
She loves to put a lot of food in her plate rather than get up for seconds. You know you have to much food in your plate when you would be embarrassed to eat in front of people. You don't mind having that much when you are alone, but not with people around.
