Any difference in meaning?

Is there any difference in meaning between the following sentences?Is Present Simple or Continuous better to use and gramatically correct?

When I am going to the supermarket, I spend lot of money.
When I go to the supermarket, I spend a lot of money
When I look for a dictonary I go the the language bookshop.
When I am looking for a dictionary I go to the language bookshop.

A native speaker does make distinctions between present simple and continuous.

When I am going to the supermarket, I spend lot of money. (This is less probable. To me, it means when you are on your way to the supermarket, you spend a lot of money. Maybe at the dry cleaners, department store, drug store or other places.)
