Any difference?

Hi teachers! It's been a long time!
I want to know whether the following sentences mean the same.
The sentences vary according to its position of the adverb 'exactly'.
If not, please tell me the difference.

1. Below the chair was another letter, which was exactly the same as the first.
2. Below the chair was another letter, which was the same exactly as the first.
3. Below the chair was another letter, which was the same as the first exactly.

This is an adverb of degree. These come before the word they modify.

The same to what degree? Exactly. Exactly the same.

Likewise: nearly the same, almost the same
