00I live in Sweden and we are learining about Some and Any. We learned that some is used in affirmative sentences and in polite questions. "Any" is used in questions and in negative sentences. 02br

00I have a sentence "Ask any of the teachers". My question is: Why can you use "any" in that sentence? It's not a negative or a question. When can you use "Any" in affirmative sentences? Please EXPLAINE CLEARLY. I'm a child so try to make it a good explanation. 02br

It is very important to know and remember that "any" is not negative. It is used with negative verbs:
  • I don't have any brothers.
  • There isn't any milk in the fridge. "not + any" is negative.
