"Antother one" vs. "next one"

Hello all )

I am having a little argument with a colleague of mine over the following:

Imagine, my friend bought me a cup of coffee and I drank it. Then he says: "Do you want another one" or "Come on, drink another one!". Am I right that these senteces would sound very weird (if not outright incorrect) if "another" was replaced with "(the)next"?

I am sure of my rightfullness, just as my colleague of his, so we just need a third side to judge us.

Thank you in advance,
Anton

Yes. You are right. That would be weird.

If there were 10 cups of coffee that you had to drink (for some reason, maybe a coffee drinking contest) (Suppose they were all lined up on a table), and you were drinking them o
