Antonym for "recommendation"

I am trying to think of a good antonym for "recommendation". An Internet search has so far yielded nothing. Can anyone help me, please?

Hi, Can't think of a one-word suggeston. I would simply say eg 'I recommend Tom/ I don't recommend Tom' or eg 'I recomend you hire Tom / I recommend you don't hire Tom'. Clive

Can't think of a one-word suggeston.



I would simply say

eg 'I recommend Tom/ I don't recommend Tom'

or

eg 'I recomend you hire Tom / I recommend you don't hire Tom'.

I have seen elsewhere 'discommend' which sounds horrid.
Pepys used it as the antonym of 'commend' but I too would use 'not recommend' or perhaps you prefer 'warn off'?
