Antonia: with conviction

Hello!

Can you please tell me what it means,

1) Whatever healing she (doctor) would do was left up to the girl.

2) edging toward the garage door (moving towards or glancing at) The person is standing in the room and edging toward the garage door outside.

3) I had bear of time doing it

4) His jaw clenched

5) She threw herself out of the window, tucking as she rolled. (what does tucking mean here?)

Thanks
