Hello Antonia If I reply sarcastically to something you've said, and you don't understand the sarcasm, but treat my reply as serious, my sarcasm is "lost on you". It means "wasted", in effect. MrP

If I reply sarcastically to something you've said, and you don't understand the sarcasm, but treat my reply as serious, my sarcasm is "lost on you".
It means "wasted", in effect.
