It looks like a brand name for vegetarian steaks...

Quorn yummy yummy. It is a vegetarian meat substitute stuff and is very like chicken in looks and texture. Pretty flavourless itself but soaks up flavours very well so takes on the taste of whatever you cook it with. Very low fat. I like it. It is nicer than it sounds!

It was originally presented as a kind of mushroom derivative, but there were objections, as it's actually cultivated in vats. I think it's marketed now as "mycoprotein".

I have to warn you YoHf. while I was searching the net and trying to find what quorn is I bumped into web sites that offer support to those who developed allergy to quorn. Tons of people seem to have problems with this fungi thing.[bah]
