Hi Danyoo,

It is a word, it is a title of the book I'm trying to translate. Apparently, it's some medical term for a disorder when your eyes are ok, but your mind doesn't register proper pictures. I don't know how am I going to translate it, so I put the post to get an idea.

That was my first thought too, but in Croatian it sounds very strange because of the combination of several consonants in the first two syllables of the word, so it doesn't sound catchy, but what can one do?

I've just checked how it had been translated in French: it's "mort aveugle" (blind death, or dead blind, but I think it's the former). Could that help you?

Hi Mr P,

I have to contact a doctor and see if the medical term exists in Croatian language as such, if not I'll have to change it because if I leave it like this it wont mean anything to a Croatian reader. Perhaps I'll go for Death in the dark? or sth like this...[bah]

If you can find a Croation translation of a book by V.S. Ramachandran called "Phantoms in the Brain", it will give you the Croatian version.

Or any other recent "popular science" book about the brain should feature it.
