Antithesis

Hi,

One can say "love is the antithesis of hate," but can one say "love and hate are antheses" or "love and hate are the antitheses of each other"?

Thank you.

Hi,

I am somewhat unsure of "love and hate are antitheses" - without being followed by "of each other." Would you say all three examples that I gave are equally valid?

Thanks.

Yes. The lack of "of each other" is not a problem because it's so obviously the meaning. Here are a few examples (without "of each other") that I found on the internet in just three minutes:

Matter and antimatter are antitheses.
Name and concept are 'antitheses'
