Answering an complaint letter from a customer

I am a student, and we have to answer this letter. I want to thank you for your input!!!!

Roxanne,

The letter reads:

Dear Mr. Wilson,

On February 15, 2010, I brought my 1999 Mercury Villager van to you for repairs. I explained that the van was "jerking" like it was out of gas, even though the tank was full. On February 16, 2010, you called and said the repairs were complets; the van just needed a tune up. I paid $141.73.

On my way home, the van was worse than before. I had it towed back to your shop. You had my van until March 9th, 2010 and couldn't find the problem. You said the van would'n even start now.

We towed the van to Hampton Auto Service. Upon checking the engine, they noted the following problems: Vacuum some hoses off and others were crossed, Wire pinched on the EGR soleoid switch, No bolts between intake brace, Distributor was burned

Randy said these problems were the reason the van wouldn't run. He stated the vacuum hoses, the pinched wire and the missing bolts were caused by the last person that worked on the van.

I am requesting reimbursement in the amount of $360.00 for the damages caused by whoever worked o my van. Please call me at 423-555-1712 if you have any questions.

Sincerely

Sue Higgs
