What do you call it when you answer a question silently in a way that the person in front of you wouldn't notice it?
Do we say " She answered in her mind"?!
or maybe in her heart?!

I think it depends on the context and I would say that there isn't a hard-and-fast rule, just subtle differences. If it's a question such as '5 + 3 =' and you do it silently, you're answering it in your head. You can answer in your mind if it's a conceptual thing and you're getting things straight without speaking.

Like if I want to invent something and all the people around me are wet blankets if I share the idea with them, so I say this in my mind or in my heart that:

If it's something for which you have great passion, perhaps you know it in your heart.
'I knew in my heart that I had found the answer...'
I think if you were to have solved it in your mind and were secretly holding back then it would also work, but I feel the emotion of your post and would therefore go with having a connection to the heart. However, 'answered in your heart' isn't a par
