Answer to "How do you like it ?"

I've learned that it is not correct to say "I like it" to the question "How do you like it?" Then  how about "I like it very much?"

Then how about "I like it very much?"

That's better, but people usually expect answers more like the following:

How do you like it?  (food)
It's pretty good. / It's wonderful! / It's very tasty.
It's too salty. / It's a little bitter, don't you think?

How do you like it? (a new car)
It's very big! / The interior is beautiful.
The color is great! / The trunk/boot seems a little small.

It's very dependent on what "it" is.
