ANPR - correction of translated article

Today I have translated a press article and I'd like to receive your corrections and comments on language and style. Thanks.

The National Database of Resident Population (ANPR) is one of the major projects of the Italian Digital Agenda and aims at pouring into a single national database all the population data, which are today managed by each individual town; in most cases, at the present time, data cannot be queried directly with automated procedures, and therefore the verification of personal records can be carried out by other public authorities and private entities only upon the town’s specific request.

One of the positive consequences that will become evident as towns progressively join the database will be the possibility of any town issuing personal certificates without the limitation of being resident in the place where the request is made, as happens nowadays; moreover, starting from the passage to the national database, certificates issued by the town will contain data stored in the ANPR, and this will be stated by a specific note.

The passage is usually a procedure lasting only a few hours. What actually matters is the technical organisation of the passage (request and withdrawal of the smart card from the provincial prefecture, which grants access to the web apps too, installation of workstation certificates, etc.) and especially the continual monitoring of notifications sent at the various stages that the management software connects with ANPR and the Inland Revenue Agency: in fact, for example, the fiscal code – as in the case of a new born – is now generated at the moment the person is registered, therefore all the information has to be validated in real time.
