Another two?

Hi. Is it correct to use the phrase "another two" to mean "another two people"? To me, it sounds rude (possibly socially inappropriate?) to use the phrase "another two" to mean "another two people, as in "I think we need another two to complete the job," but is it correct? 'Another two people' sounds OK ro me. It's certainly not rude.
