Another two?

Hi. Is it correct to use the phrase "another two" to mean "another two people"? To me, it sounds rude (possibly socially inappropriate?) to use the phrase "another two" to mean "another two people, as in "I think we need another two to complete the job," but is it correct? Thank you in advance for your help.
