Another reason for/to?

Hi,
I'm really not sure how to talk about the following; Someone asks me; why do you think that X is great? So I reply; because he's so and so...
But,
if I want to continue, can I say; "another reason for considering him great is that he also....."?
I'm confused how I should put that right, can you please rewrite the two underlined sentences correctly? One more question, should I have written that case using "if clause type 2", like; if someone asked me...and why?
Thank you very much.
Osama

These are OK: another reason for considering him great is that he also... I'm confused about / as to how I should put that right. I don't understand your other question.

Thanks a lot, Mister Micawber,
As for my other question; I just want to know what type of "if clause" I should use when talking about something that hasn't happened yet, but there is a good chance it will.In my example above, "someone" or "the teacher" hasn't asked that question yet, but she'll probably do, so I said; "if someone asks me...etc". So, as you can see, I used the first type

Use Conditional I: If I do..., I will...

Use Conditional II if the event is highly unlikely: If I did.... I would....
