Another question to covered in/covered with

To an previous post of mine "Anonymous" answered:

You can say: After I sprayed for roaches the floor was covered in bodies.

But you can't say: After I sprayed for roaches the floor was covered with bodies.


Why can't I use the second one? Now I know, that it's wrong. But for me it sounds quite normal.
