which of the following is correct?

A. We come to wide river.

or

B. We come to a wide river.

The second one's correct, but I would rather use this one:

"We come to a broad river"

Actually "wide" is a better collocation with "river" than "broad."

We come to a wide river.

However, the use of present tense may not be right.

Every time we go to Grandma's house, we come to a wide river, and stop to have a picnic lunch before driving the rest of the way.

On our trip, we came to a wide river and stopped to take pictures.
