Another formulation for "to not have anything to work with/to draw information from"

I'll try to make this as short as possible: I had to read a book in English class and answer questions regarding it. One of the questions asks for detailed information which, except for one short paragraph, simply isn't available.

Out of curiosity now, I'm looking for another way to say "there isn't anything else to work with", which could be applied to a situation such as this one. My brain is telling me that there's a phrase that goes "there isn't anything else to go off of" I'm completely unsure if that phrase is correct, it's just something that popped up in my head.

Other than looking for a verification of that sentence, as I said I'm also looking for other ways to say this other than the 2 aforementioned ones in the title (3?).

Cheers
