Could anyone take a look at this piece of text ?

I'd like to thank you for the second package. I got it some time ago (last week). I've been reading Harold Courlander's "Negro Folk Music, USA" and I'm curious about one issue. He says that there were Indians in the US who "owned" slaves. I was wondering... was there any influence of Indian music on the blues? are there any traces of such influence?

Is there everything ok with it ? I seem to have some problems with... well, trusting myself when it comes to writing to foreigners, especially when I don't want to make a single mistake... Am I "over-monitoring" my English !??

thx,

best!

Hi Clive,

I'm sorry about the second post. I somehow posted it again by mistake. Thanks for your corrections and for your opinion on my English.

One more thing - should I say "or by the Indian culture as such" or simply "or by Indian culture culture as such" ? and why ? thanks

best wishes,

Hi,

I don't think you need to say 'the'.
