My observation of this passage is this. it is an akwardly written paragraph. The person who wrote it apparently was trying to show his literal finnese and sohpisticated writing skills which he believe he posseses. In the process, a mix of odd syntax and construction, combined with inappropriate punctuation made the sentence somwwhat insructable. The underlined was neither a valid grammatical struc
