another ball of wax

I came across the expression " another ball of wax" but I couldn't find it in the dictionary. Does anyone know this expression?

Top answer

It means something completely different than (whatever it was that had been discussed before). I did some searching around, and no one seems to know the origin of the "ball of wax" phrase.
