Announcement for class cancellation

Please be informed that The class for tomorrow, Thursday, 15 January 2009, will be cancelled. The class for on next week, Thursday, 23 January 2009, will be held as usual.

Between these two sentences, can I use something like therefore, thus, as (what they call this, I tried to recall it, somehow I can’t remember it)

"The class for next week, Thursday, 23 January 2009, will be held as usual."

You should not use "therefore" or "thus" but you can use "but" such as 
"The class for tomorrow, Thursday, 15 January 2009, will be cancelled, but the class for next week, Thursday, 23 January 2009, will be held as usual."
"Please inform others as well" is fine though I prefer to delete "as well".

Words "therefore, as a result, meanwhile, consequences and others" are being used to connect two different sentences and have their own term. However I couldn't remember what is the right term for it.
The term that I mean is something like this.
Words "along around away back into on out

Goodmorning class, today is March 4 and I’m sending this email to address that today’s class at 11 is canceled due to personal reasons . We will be back on track for Wednesday at 11. See all of you soon.
