I just finished this book. The book is really interesting and seems to be good for children and young adults for their formative years, and also good for anyone interested in learning English. I'd like to say that this book is full of very good sentences good and useful for foreigners.

Shouldn't it be "I forgot how much I had liked that book!"?
Only technically, as far as I have learned English, "liked' is more past than "forgot", so, "forgot how much had liked" should be more correct.
