HI, are these grammatically correct?

  1. In order to search for the location of Pirika, Yuri and company arrives at the Tower of Sages. However, they are attacked there.
  2. Due to the blizzard, Yuri and Aram are separated from the rest. They decide to take shelter while waiting for the others to find them.

Top answer

1. "... " 2.

  • 1.
  • "...
  • " 2.
  • This is fine.
  • However, it would read better to say "Yuri and Aram become separated from the rest due to the blizzard" because you want the reader to be interested in Yuri and Aram, not the blizzard.

1. "... and company arrive ..."

2. This is fine. However, it would read better to say "Yuri and Aram become separated from the rest due to the blizzard" because you want the reader to be interested in Yuri and Aram, not the blizzard. However, if that sentence is preceded by a sentence that begins with "Yuri and Aram", you wouldn't repeat that in this sentence, but use "They".
