Hi, can someone please check the following sentence, is there any grammatical mistake?

1. It is summer vacation and the girls decide to use the time to train hard for Love Live while helping out at the snack bar.

2. Riko heads off to Tokyo for her piano recital and You is asked to take over her place in their dance routine. However, You is facing some issues.

The only thing that doesn't sound natural, at least in British English, is 'take over her place'. I would change it to 'take her place'. Assuming 'Love Live' is the name of an event, I can see no other issues grammatically.
