Angry for being...

Can one use:
1-I was unhappy for failing the test.
instead of:
2-I was unhappy for having failed the test.

Can one use:
3-I was angry for being treated unfairly.
instead of:
4-I was angry for having been treated unfairly.
(If the context makes it clear that I was treated unfairly in the past)
