Anesthesia/Anesthetic lasted 15 minutes.

I woke up an hour after the anesthesia/ anesthetic wore off.

You would say anesthetic. (Note that is a U.S. spelling without the second "a" depends where you are).

You are under anesthesia because you were given an anesthetic.

Anesthetic refers to the drug or drugs which cause(s) anesthesia.
