Anemic

Hi.
What's the difference between 'anemic' and 'lackluster' as adjectives? Say anemic/lackluster growth/performance

Thanks in advance

Top answer

I'd say "anemic" is more like an action performed by a tired person, while "lackluster" is poor quality. Anemic is used metaphorically, as anemia is a type of disease caused by lack of red blood cells.
