And thus to.

Hello,

Can I say

I need a car to go to work and thus to make money.

Can I use THUS TO like this?

Or is it

I need a car to go to work and TO THUS make money.

THanks.

You can use either; I prefer the first; however, 'thus' is an old-fashioned word, seldom used nowadays without sounding rather stilted.

Thanks for the reply. A follow-up question:

He is angry and is thus going home.
He is angry and thus is going home.

Which one?
