And then the silence

Hi!

I wish to know if it is possible and is makes sense such a sentence:

"You got the stand design more than one month ago, we spent much time and money working on it and then the silence. I tried to call you and wrote you several e-mails but in vain."

Could it work?

Thanks

Hi Pamela - I've made a few comments. "You got the stand design more than one month ago , (comma splice - make separate sentences, or use a conjunction) we spent much (a lot of) time and money working on it and then the silence . (This does not make sense.
