Vocabulary

and sticks...

Hi guys,

Can you please help me with this situation? Two employees of the restaurant are changing their shift. One of them is saying:

employee A: "Don't worry. Everything is prepared....Sugar packs are reffiled and sticks".

employee B: Nice.

(end of scene)

Please guys, do have any idea, what did he mean by "...and sticks" ?? Here is another example from the internet...The cavities are refilled and sticks, 10-15 cm long, are introduced to stabilize the body and limbs. Sticks are introduced in the thighs to fix them to the trunk. It is also possible to compare the x-ray with the description made in 1924

many thanks in advance...

Best Regards

I'm not sure what "sticks" refers to inthe restaurant scene, but I'm quite sure that the example you found on the internet has nothing to do with it. There's no point looking for examples of the phrase "refilled and sticks" any more than it would make sense to pick the words "restaurant are changing" out of your description of the scene. Not every sequence of words is a meaningful phrase!

  • If I said "the box of firewood has been refilled, and sticks are falling out onto the floor" would that help you any?
  • How about "The pot of glue has been refilled, and sticks of balsa wood are in the cupboard, so you can continue working on your model airplane"?

.....or possibly there is some kind of "sticks" that the employee refilled in addition to refilling the sugar packs. Perhaps coffee stir sticks?

Many thanks khoff for your note. Yes, that is my guess too. I think that the sentence "Sugar packs refilled and sticks [stir sticks]" is just another way of saying "I refilled sugar packs in common with
