And its meaning for/to

Which is correct:

"traveling and its meaning to university students" or "traveling and its meaning for university students"?

What I want to say is what does traveling mean to university students.

Top answer

"to" and "for" are both possible, but "travel" may be better than "traveling". I would need to see more context.
