Vocabulary

and he is too

Hi there,

Consider the following sentences:

They say he is the best student. And he is too.

(1) Is the second sentence okay (grammarwise)?
(2) Can I replace 'too' by 'indeed' in the 2-nd sentence, without destorting its original meaning?
(3) Can I replace 'And he is too' with "And he truly is"?

Thanks in advance!
