"And" Comma in a Cover Letter

I have an Honours BA in philosophy and psychology, and a Master’s Degree in comparative philosophy.

Is that comma a good idea for a rest? I ask because "and" isn't starting off an independent clause, but I know that that is just a guideline, anyway, which leaves for ambiguity at times.

Thanks.
