And become..... vs. to become.....

The following sentence is taken from the official Twitter account of Chelsea Football Club.

Maurizio Sarri is leaving Chelsea Football Club to return to Italy and become manager of Juventus.

My question is this:

Why is it ".....and become manager of Juventus" and not ".....to become manager of Juventus"?

Thank you.
