00Yes, when a dj says "And away we go!" that is exactly what is meant, that either the DJ wants the program to start or the program is in fact about to start!02br

0Much appreciated. I was thinking the expression was actually, "And a way we go." But web search revealed it should be, "And away we go." However, I still think "And a way we go" makes more sense to render the meaning.02br

00'And away we go' was a catch-phrase made popular by the American comedian, Jackie Gleason.02br

00If you use the normal word order, it becomes 'And we go away'. ie we are commencing a journey. Your other suggestion would be 'And we go a way' which clearly (well, at least to me!) has less meaning.02br
