Hello,

1.An owl is sitting in the tree.

2. It is -------- baby owl. (a)

3. -------- baby owl is small. (the)

In (1,2,3), I have to fill in with an article. My choices are in the bracket.

My doubt is , why we cannot use the article "the" in (2) , as it (Owl) has already been introduced in the line(1) for example

An old man is walking with a little boy. The old man is the boys's grandfather.

Please help me.
