analogy/ TEDIOUS: ENERGY

TEDIOUS: ENERGY::
(A) avaricious: satisfaction
(B) fractious: irritation
(C) disturbing: composure
(D) improbable: ambition
(E) informed: intelligence

The answer is C. I could tell. But I don't have a good reason to rule out A. Help me please. Thank you in advance.

Maybe:

If something is tedious, it destroys your energy.

If something is disturbing, it destroys your composure.

(But then, "composure" is a state; whereas "energy" is a resource.)

Here's my understanding:

Tedious means being of no energy.
Disturbing means being of no composure.
Avaricious means being of no satisfaction.

But maybe the first two pairs are about people's mood, while the last one is about human nature. [H]

The primary meaning of "avaricious" is "excessively keen to acquire money". So it wouldn't be used to mean "dissatisfied"; though you might infer that an avaricious person was "dissatisfied".
