00Here is another analogy question. It’s easy to eliminate A. D and E, but it’s so hard for me to choose a better one among B and C. 0-

0 Jeff, I would choose C, since the buttress supports the wall, and the strut supports the wing, in a fixed position, while the wheel may turn on the axle. 02br

00So you mean trowel is the tool used by bricklayer. But the question is it's not used to cut. Right? 0-

I agree about the 'used to cut the material' aspect. On the other hand, you could say that a bricklayer uses a trowel to 'cut' the cement.

But perhaps 'wood' is to 'carpenter' as 'cloth' is to 'tailor' as 'brick' is to 'bricklayer'.

In which case, screws = thread = cement.

So yes, B...

I like JA's analogy. But I suppose you could also say that while every wing, to function, must have struts, and every wheel, to function, must have an axle, not every wall must have a buttress.

I think this is one of those situations where whichever you choose will be wrong...

Hi, Mr. P,

come to think of it, trowels and saws are handyman tools -- things to be sold in a hardware store. We probably won't find a pair of tailoring scissors there.

As for the other question, I guess we can argue that wing and wheel are related to modes of transportation...

Just a wild thought.
