An original Tv Programme

The musical train
The programme consists of a number of contestants who sing in front of the public. Behind them there is a big screen which shows a train that is approaching faster and faster while the contestants sign. If you sing well the train will stop but if your performance is disappointing the train will continue its way.
The funny thing is somehow the people really seem scare of the train when it is approaching, even though is just a video.
The public enjoy the show, they laughed at the inharmonious contestants and their agitation when looking back at the train which is advancing fast.
I consider this programme very original and unusual because of the train, normally in this kind of contest when people have to sing and depending on their performance the can continue to the next level , there is always a jury or a public which with their applause decide whether or not the contestant should move ahead or not. On the contrary, on this programme it is the train that decides the faith of the contestant and the fact that being knocked down by a train, although it is just imaginarily makes it a funny and original contest.
I believe that the aim of the programme makers is highly entertain the public and make the moment of the truth when it is decided whether or not the contest should continue a very excitement moment and I felt that the programme achieve that very successfully, because the audience are excited and they laugh when the contestant look back repeatedly to the train in order to check the speed and proximity of the train.
