AN OPINION PARAGRAPH: Is face-to-face communication good for us?

Topic: Face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication such as letters, e-mail, or telephone calls. Do you agree or disagree?

I totally agree with the idea that direct communication brings more benefits than communication using letters, e-mails, or telephone calls. First of all, real-life conversations reduce the chance of misunderstanding among people, which seems to be a common problem when using other types of exchanging information. This is mainly because time is not restricted in communicating in person, and people grab a chance to explain for clarity in case the receivers have not caught up with the news. The second reason is that sharing ideas and thoughts directly requires much effort and attention. While texting a message or sending an email takes a few minutes, interacting during a conversation means both the subjective of that conversation use eye contact and body language as well. Thirdly, studies show that face-to-face communication does wonders for our health. For example, hanging out with our friends, sipping some coffee together, and sharing failures and success are some of the effective methods to gain a sense of fulfillment. On the other hand, those who prefer online communication suffer from health issues such as poor eyesight since spending hours on electronic screens. For the three reasons mentioned above, there is no doubt that direct communication benefits us in numerous ways.
