I remember once an online retailer had mentioned that they give the lowest price and if you can find the lower price, then they will reduce their price further to make it still the lowest. But they used a particular term for this concept. Do you know any term related to this concept? Please let me know. Thank you.

They will lower their price, if they match someone else's price. They just won't lower it past that point.
Perhaps you have the wrong idea of what the verb 'lower' means?
